Mrs. Sonja's bus, Bus 130, will be on a double route today. Students will stay at school in the media center until Ms. Cathy can return to school from her normal bus route. Parents are welcome to pick up their child from school since students will get home later than normal. Students on Bus 130 will not leave campus until 4:00PM.
Mrs. Cathy Bus will be about 30-35 mins late, sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Ms. Cathy's bus will be delayed again. Shortly after she left campus with the replacement bus, a deer ran out in front of her. The bus garage is bringing her another bus,. At this time, I am unsure when she will return on her route. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Ms. Cathy's bus, Bus 148, will be late. Due to a mechanical issue, she was unable to leave campus. A bus mechanic is on the way. We are unsure of her estimated departure time, but we will update you as soon as we know more. Thank you for your understanding, and we apologize for any inconvenience.

Jones County Public Schools is aware of a vague social media threat circulating among our high school students. The Jones County Sheriff's Office is also aware and, based on their investigation, has found that a similar message has been copied and sent to other school districts. At this time, it appears this vague threat has no validity.
We appreciate our students and families bringing this message to our attention. Please remind your child NOT TO SHARE these messages with friends on social media, as doing so could result in severe consequences even if they are not the originator.
